| Ice centre piece | By Sheryl Russell | | Make an ice bowl : Take a large glass bowl and a smaller glass bowl which you place inside of that. Fill the gap between the two with water. Carefully place rose petals and mint leaves in between. Carefully place in freezer and let it ice up - leave for at least 24 hours. Then remove from the freezer and let slightly loosen. Carefully pry apart so that you are left with only the now frozen "ice" dish. Place back in the freezer. Just before using, pour a little bit of water - just to line so that the filling does not stick. As the "filling", place tiny easter eggs in various coloured wrappers and place in the centre of your table. Always a hit - looks beautiful!! | | Easter Rocks | By Dave | In my family we paint easter rocks instead of eggs. With the eggs, if you hollow them out you are left with a bunch of egg yolks and white. Or if you ard boil them you are left with those. So an easy solution to prevent food waste is Easter Rocks!
Collect some roundish stones and paint them using acrylic paints. Then you can hide them again and again! |
