The Gift of Time
My husband and I both work and have two small children, so the most romantic and meaningful gift that we give
each other every Valentines Day is time. We give each other homemade coupons for romantic dinners, movies, ect.
These coupons mean more to me than the biggest bouquet of flowers or the most expensive bottle of perfume ever

365 Cranes
Each anniversary has a theme, the 25th is silver, the 50th is gold, the 60th is diamond. Well the first anniversary
is paper and my boyfriend is Japanese. So for our first anniversary I gave him three painted panels with 365
origami cranes on them, representing one for each day we had been together. According to Japanese lore, folding
Origami Cranes is truly a labor of love (typically 1000)...Paying homage to the magestic crane, which mates
for life and is said to live one thousand years, it ensures good fortune and a lasting relationship.

Stocking of Love
All you have to do is take one full day and scour the mall for every little tiny thing that your sweetheart
has mentioned in the past year. A gift basket built especially for them filled with all the little knick knacks

Love coupons
For valentines day I make personalised love coupons for my husband of 20 years. I make about 10 coupons with
no expirey time, they include: a massage, his favorite meal, special dessert I make myself, home alone(I take
the kids to a movie) I take out the trash for a week, tee off coupons from our local golf club, hockey night
with the boys(with our local team playing) or I just write out a coupon making him King for the day and I grant

Romantic
Heart shaped watch and a picture frame that had our weddening picture in the heart and a verse. THe watch ,
my husband had to look for it in over 2 cities. Even today when i wear the watch it brings back such happy memories.

Daily expressions of love
I think around my house, everyday is Valentines Day. My husband and I tell each other numerous times a day we
love each other. We also do small things for each other often throughout the day. We do our very best not to
take advantage of each other. And after 9 years of marriage we have never had a fight. We made a deal before
we were married that we would not talk to each other in anger and have kept that promise. I am happy to say
that my Valentines present is the man I married 9 years ago, and I would not change that for the world! : )

Day to remember
My valentine's day gift is one that my husband will never forget! Three months ago we got married and for our
first Valentines day together i took my wedding speech to him and had it printed up nicely and framed for him.
This is how it went... "From the moment i met you I had this overwhelming feeling of needing to get to
know you. I didn't know why, but i do now. You are my bestfriend, you have given me the courage to make more
of my life. You have given me goals, dreams and a promising future. You have been my strength, my heart and

A Night in Heaven
You see, I would do this but funds are kind of tight this year. I love my boyfriend so much, instead of requesting
a night of pampering, I'd pamper him. I would rent a honeymoon suite at the best hotel in the city. There would
be candles lit all around the room and of course soft music playing. At the door, there would be red and white
rose petal leading to the bed (and of course, I would be on the bed) And that's how my 'night of heaven' would

Garage of Dreams
My hubby longs for a garage. He years for a garage. He is lusting after a garage. Poor baby.....when he has
to work on the car.....even if it is 30 below zero....has to do it in the driveway and brave the elements. When
he has a woodworking project he does it in the back yard and then tries to find room in our overcrowded shed
to store it until the sun comes out the next day....so he can finish it in the back yard again. A garage would
be the best gift I could ever give him! He'd think he was rich beyond his wildest dreams. But I wonder if I'd

So far and yet so close
My husband of 1 1/2 months had to go to the US leaving me home because I had to complete my studies.Incidently
it was our first valentine together too but he wasnt there.It was so great when I came home from the university
and a few minutes later I got the biggest bouquet of red roses I have seen and a card telling me how much he
